z80 Collision testing

Anyone have any collision testing routines in z80 assembler? The lack of JGE, JLE, ect is annoying. The routines I wrote aren't fast, and I keep thinking there's got to be a better way to do this. Specifically, the routines should be able to compare one XY set, and another XY set, and determine if they are within 16 bytes of each other.
Thanks.

Oops, meant 16 pixels/units of each other.
