One thing the SMS does better than its contemporary competitor is yellow.

I've had a chance to run this only on a Genesis model 1 and Emulicious. Does it work as expected on SMS hardware?

Unfortunately I do not have a real hw setup at hand at the moment, but I ran some tests on my office computer, and can confirm that the colors display bold and bright on both meka (to the left) and Emulicious (to the right).

You could swap the border colour in a line interrupt to make it full screen if that’s a goal.

Not quite an SMS, but here's what comes out of my Mega Drive:

The artifacts are sprites from some VRAM contents left in VRAM by the Everdrive. You might want to put a $d0 at the beginning of the SAT.
