SMS Pad Checker Cart
Post Posted: Wed Feb 20, 2008 12:19 pm
A "SMS Pad Checker" cart, probably the same as recently posted on one of the forums, which displays some test colours onscreen and does some animation and sounds when the joypad buttons are pressed, just sold on Australian ebay for $405AUD.

$405!!!

That's about '$50 per 1-second' value - he he he

asynchronous.

lol what aussie would be crazy enough to try and sell something that high, its rather obserd but if people bid on stuff like that it would be a little more worrying in my eyes.

(this post has been edited to remove certain racial elements on my behalf)

Shame on you jacko!

Actually it was some bid battle between SegaAustralia (guess from where he is!) who is notorious for bidding insane amounts and Stan who from time to time gets also out of his mind with bids. I think it is quite sad for everyone because in the end it makes all unusual items or prototypes fetch higher prices which is certainly a thing I'm trying to avoid.

And Jacko goes down in a shower of used Super Tennis carts!! ha ha ha.

It would be totally respectable to edit that post dude. You too Vil' - enough of that irony! he he

Speaking of Super Tennis carts, these make great 32kB dev carts, and very easily too.....of which would be ample to hold a copy of the Pad Checker program.....and thus be a good source of income for SMSPower. Or me! (Not really)

Yep my day got worse and worse I lost my bid for a 32x. Kudos idea bout the super tennis carts, hehe. Shame on me yes I feel like a right dickhead, I made an honest mistake and as a citizen of australia and on behalf of Mr. Rudd I say sorry, and I am being serious, im not taking the piss.

Anyway this is getting OT.

lol at the shower of used super tennis carts :)

I think part of Stan's thing with bidding high on the pad checker was to defeat segaaus whom as Bock pointed out is a very high bidder. Just an exspensive way of showing who's boss :P
