Info on Japanese Sonic 2?

Hi everyone, I'm a casual collector and I mostly have Sonic games. I found what I believe is a complete in box Japanese copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I don't know much about Game Gear, can anyone tell me anything about it? Is it common to come by?

That's the original release, rather than the Meisaku Collection rerelease. It's not at all rare, although yours looks to be in great condition.
