Hi everyone,

I've mentioned here that FIFA Soccer '95 for the Game Gear is missing from the Games list. I pointed out this after spotting a physical boxed copy here.

Then I did some research and there is almost no info on the GG version. Wikipedia does not mention a GG release, neither does Sega Retro. There are no gameplay videos on Youtube, either.

Is the game that rare? Was it ever released outside the US?

EDIT: The seller says the boxes are custom/repro. I've asked if the game is actually a FIFA Soccer '95 US cartridge.

EDIT 2: According to GameFAQs the game was cancelled. However, SMSPower has an "Unreleased" tag for cancelled games, so that's not the reason for the game omission, I guess.

So its brother NHL '95 was released by EA?
I thought EA didn't do 8-bit development, only licensed their IP to other publishers.
(in that case, Malibu aka THQ who it seems did release Game Boy versions which I'd expected to be contracted to a similar developer for both consoles. Or did Malibu not do both consoles as I thought I remember reading they first announced?)
