A fantastic review by Andre Breder about this hack game, written in Portuguese. He tells the official hack game is much more productive instead of Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap.

I did find this version of the Dragon's Trap quite entertaining :)

It is basically the same, apart from the storyline, character sprites and the end boss.

The storyline is explained in more detail in the instruction manual:
