GAMEGEAR game gear problems

Ive recently bought a gg and the batteys dont power it up it works only from the AC adaptor also the brightness of the lcd screen is very poor. If there were anyone with any ideas I would much aprieciate them . Thankx

Did you crack it open and have a look inside? Some dodgy solder joints could be the cause.

well it looks like I have to replace the caps on the main board to fix the brightness of the screen but with the power board I have no idea I cand find any info about them. I have opened it up and had a look but I dont no what to look for on the power board.

Well, replacing all the caps would be a good start, moreso any that look like they're leaking.

Ive replaced all of the caps on the mainboard and the sound board there were some leaking ones now its like brandnew again the only problem is the power board the batterys dont power the console up but I have no info yet on this.

Ive got another gamegear and the prob with this one is when I turn it on it switchs back off. When the brightness is all the way down it stays on. Ive replaced all the caps but now the prob is worse any ideas ?

I also have some trouble with my power board. It is broken. Does anybody have the schematics for it? Or at least now what voltages are on the pins?
