Scans of Argos (UK catalogue company) catalogues from 1974 - 1999: https://archive.org/search.php?query=retromash+argos
Did you know that the Master System could be had for as little as £34.50 in early 1995? https://archive.org/stream/issuu_retromash_argossuperstore-1995-springsummer-l#p... |

I didn't even know they were still sold back then! |

Clearing old stock perhaps? It looks like the units being sold in 1995 were older SMS2s with Alex Kidd built in. A year earlier they were selling the newer machines with Sonic 1.
Also spotted in the 1994 catalogue: a picture of the rare "Master System II" variant of Sonic 2. |

You can play the SMS if you're 6, but you gotta be 8 to play the GG or 10 to play the MD. :D

And in 1993, "Master System II" variants of Batman Returns and Taz-Mania (as previously noted here). |

Could also be stock being bought back in from Europe and resold in the UK where the market was strong. |

Here, there is a different cover for the jungle book
https://issuu.com/retromash/docs/argossuperstore-1994-springsummer_3beffdaba92e2... Note that the cover for game gear jurassic park is also different but identical to the one I had found in a french catalog ( http://www.smspower.org/forums/15850-OldFrenchSupermarketCatalogsAndOthersWithSe... ) |

Can someone attach the relevant pages here, with covers? I'd like to add them to our scans too.
