Can I flash DIP 32 EEPROM with Pickit 2?

Hi all. I have registered here because I need your help about a repro.
I want to create a Sonic Triple Trouble cartridge using a Mercs cartridge. I have read that the Atmel AT29C040A is a good chip for flashing the ROM (4 mbit).
The question is...I use Pickit 2 for all the pic memories I have flashed. Why can't I find any information about how to flash DIP 32 EEPROMs?
My Pickit 2 has DIP 28 AND DIP 40, but it doesn't say DIP 32. It's the first time I have to use those chips, so I'm lost.
Thanks for your attention.

Pickit2 is just a microcontroller programmer. It can't program parallel memories like Flash or EPROM, even if Atmel makes them.
You need a dedicated device programmer, such as Top853, Willem, etc.
But this isn't a good topic for this forum since it has nothing to do with the SMS and is just about programming EPROMs in general. Maybe in an dedicated electronics forum you can get more help.

Thanks in agreement. The Top853 is the one I need, but I didn't know about its existence. Thanks again.
