Suggestion: Minigame competition

In recent years, we usually had the "normal" competition + a "special" (rush or SMSdevkit) one.
How about doing a minigame competition for the special one later this year? I'd suggest a code size limit of 8KB.

I like the idea, but the suggested size of 8KB seems arbitrary to me. How about building a minigame competition on a real hardware restriction instead? I suggest "make a game that fits on a Sega card" for a theme. That would raise the limit to 32KB, which is still no big size if your code must share it with all the graphics and music data.

So far all my coding competition entries were below 32 KB. So 32 KB seems not enough of a challenge to me.

There are other mini game competitions, across platforms. I think it's too harsh a restriction on our competitions, where just producing a working game is hard work, and it's mostly just going to reduce the assets used until you get to really small sizes.
