Game Gear TV Tuner N. American Manual?
Post Posted: Thu Feb 21, 2019 9:55 pm
Hello all,

I'm in the market for a Sega Game Gear TV Tuner. There are plenty up for grabs which I found kind of surprising but what I can't seem to find is one that comes with the N. American user manual. Not only that, but I can't seem to find a scan of the N. American user manual either. I've found a couple scans of the EU manual which does have English in it, however, it's annoying to read the manual with a small paragraph of English per page turn.

Do any of you know of a site where there is a scan of the N. American manual? Or a purchase site other than eBay, Etsy, or Amazon that would have TV Tuners up for sale? I've checked those three sites and there aren't any TV Tuners currently listed with a manual and stand.

Thanks for your time.

Was it ever released with a specific manual for North America?

I've only ever been aware of the multi-language one that I contributed to the site.

EDIT: It's interesting the Region of Origin is marked as Europe, the manual and tuner are original items I purchased in Australia some 28 years ago.

One imagines the North American version hopefully had an added tint control? With NTSC it's the only way to get good colours a lot of the time. But if so then I guess the mention of that or not in the manual might be a clue as to whether it was used in North America.

I was lucky enough to find a N. American Game Gear TV Tuner complete in box with the stand and instruction manual. I plan to scan it into a PDF file and can share it here if you guys would be interested.

It states that the file is too big. It's just under 6MB. How do I upload the as is?

Is it zipped? Email it to me (Maxim @ this domain) and I'll sort it out for you.

Super easy way to upload large or small PDFs for free:
https://www.docdroid.net

It's really just one click. I'd be interested in the manual as well.
