I am so tired of this modern plagarisation fetish of old games. Spyro, this, I mean how would it be if Katy Perry's next album was just all her old songs remixed into metalcore? And never mind that half of the charm of the thing is in the limitations. Heaven forbid they should make something new based off it!

Arguably it's similar to a digital remaster of an old vinyl record, although in some respects it's also like buying a modified version of Star Wars with edited scenes and injected VFX...

Modern remakes can be hit-or-miss.
When done properbly (WB3) it's amazing.
When it's a cashcow using the original's name (Castle of Illusion), it can be disappointing. Or it can sit in the middle of both extremes (Ducktales).
