best portable Master System?

I've no space for a CRT and was looking for the best solution for genuine hardware in portable form. What I've looked at so far:
modded Sega Nomad with Power Base Converter or Everdrive - somewhat expensive. Game Gear with Master Gear converter - I'm concerned SMS games won't display properly on the smaller screen. AtGames Arcade Gamer Portable - probably not close to genuine hardware, and can't add games. http://segaretro.org/Arcade_Gamer_Portable Hamy HG-806 portable with Everdrive - Genesis-on-a-chip may play SMS, uncertain. http://www.sega-16.com/2014/01/sega-gear-hamy-hg-806-genesis-clone/ Am I missing any options? |

If you really can't use an external screen then I'd recommend emulation on a suitable device, although I'm not very up to date on those - Android with a Bluetooth controller, or whatever hackable gaming systems still exist. | |

Here's what I'm using :
Game Boy Advance SP with Supercard Mini SD. Why? Because thes following systems are supported directly by the SuperCard and are built in : 1. NES, 2. Game Boy (monochrome only!) 3. PC Engine 4. Sega Master System 5. Game Gear Just put the roms on Mini SD, it's that easy. Even adding GBA rom to play is harder because we had to convert them first. |

using emulators, such as an android device (personal favorite being Sony Xperia Play with built-in controls) and GBA (Arm CPU) are convenient, but they may be inadequate solutions for those who want to test their homebrew software on genuine hardware.
I think the only solution is modded Nomad or Game Gear with converter. |
