Jap BIOS in SMS 2 & DIY MK III-SMS help!
Post Posted: Tue Apr 11, 2017 11:35 am
Hello there 8 bit sega people, some help if possible please

The plan
Dual BIOS my pal sms2 with the sandwich method and switch using th original alex kidd and a Jap bios burned to EPROM. I'm comfortable doing this part. I have a GQ-4X and plenty of 28pin EPROMs.

I have been buying lots of SG-1000, SC-3000 and MK-III cartridges from japan and have no console to play them on.

I want to make an adaptor from a crap western master system game. Does anyone know what "slot" to buy to fit the SG/SC/MK III cartridge, Its spaced further apart than anything I've come across.

Has anyone else attempted this?

Thanks, Will

Try http://www.smspower.org/forums/1580-ConnectorForJapaneseCartsForBuildingAMarkIII...

0.125 inches comes out to 3.175mm, and these days it's easier to source this sort of thing than it was in 2001.

About dual bios, this is an interesting thread (in French and you probably have to register to see it :/ ) http://www.ultimate-consoles.fr/topic/17888-tuto-changer-le-bios-dune-master-sys...
