BMP2Tile not recognising compressor plugins.

Hi guys,
I just changed my computer, and in the new one BMP2Tile is not able to export in any format apart from .inc . I had BMP2Tile in my project repository, so it's the same that I used in the old computer (0.41), but it's failing without any error message... |

...did you forget the DLLs? :)
(I mean you need the gfxcomp_*something*.dll file(s) to save raw/compressed binaries) |

They are in the same directory...As I said, bmp2tile was on my repository, and they're working in anonther computer...simply it looks like it's not able to see them

If you double click on the EXE, would you see the options?
(also, latest version is 0.42 ...) |

No, I can only save tiles as .inc, for example...

Weird, I'm not sure why that might happen. Does it help to run as administrator? Do any of the files have the "unblock file from internet" thing on them?

I've tried using administrator rights, and also looked at the dll's, but I'm quite sure that's it's some kind of security permission on my new pc.
I also tried to download bmp2tile again, but it failed also. I took a look at the code in github, and although my pascal it's a bit rusty, I didn't see anything wrong in the plugin detection code... |

64 bit and Windows 10 I guess...
What's the path you're using? |

It's on my user document path, something like:
c:\Users\JordiM\Documents\alteregosms\bmp2tile But I've also tried moving bmp2tile to c:\, just in case... |

Maybe it's not that the program can't find the DLLs, but it's they fail to load because of a missing dependency (you said it's a new PC...) ... so try http://www.dependencywalker.com/ :)

I've tried that and there're plenty of misleading errors: "missing API-MS-WIN-CORE-COM-L1-1-0.DLL" and similar, but some people are pointing to the MSVC redistributable package, I'll try later

... that sounds like a possible cause :)

Yeah, that's probably the cause. Recent builds are in VS2015 with the associated CRT, I could make static builds I guess. I hadn't tried to catch this sort of thing in the main app.

I just tried to install the package, and it's still not working....
I've just checked that it's working perfectly from other PC. I'll try again this afternoon |
