Competition rules
- Entries are to be software running on any Sega 8-bit gaming machines, namely the
Sega Master System, Game Gear, SG-1000, SC-3000 and varieties.
- No constraint given. Abuses or great achievements should be all fairly discussed/detected by judges and appreciated accordingly.
- Hint: generally accepted entries are playable games and non-interactive multimedia demos.
- Each voters will test entries on either real hardware and/or emulator, at their discretion and capacities. We realize that not everyone may have access to development on hardware, thus entries featuring bugs/glitches on hardware will not be disqualified but noted as so. Fixing your code to respect hardware nitpicking timing requirements grants you higher respect from voters and eventually higher ranks.
- Entries are to be submitted through the form in the entries section.
- The deadline for submissions is March 27th, 2007, included. Entries submitted after
midnight, GMT (night from 27 to 28) will not be accepted unless you bribe judges.
- Files submitted must be packaged in ZIP format containing at least precompiled binary and short textual description of program content.
- Source code disclosure would be appreciated but is not required.
- Judging is open for the public. Voting forms will be made available starting March 27th and for a duration of one week.
- Acceptance of entries is up to the competition administrators, who may choose
to disqualify any entry at their own discretion. Entries containing
expressions of racism, religious beliefs, etc will naturally not
be accepted. The administrators may also choose to disqualify entries
judged as not being serious or being too similar to existing material.
So use common sense!
- Each programmer may compete with any number of entries.
