Welcome aboard!
Information about Korean games & releases is very hard to find for most of us, so it's great to have a Korean member on here :) I'd be very interested to hear about some of the unusual unlicensed games that seem to have been released over there... |

LEADKUN - welcome to SMS Power!
As well as (hopefully) becoming the site's leading Korean SMS expert, could you also give us any information about the Korean games scene generally, such as: 1) what were the most popular consoles (in the 80's and early 90's)? 2) what is the arcade scene like out there? 3) does SEGA have any Korean development teams? 4) what are your favourite games? 5) what do you think of America and European games? |

Hi, Leadkun
And, 6) I went to Seoul last year, and couldn't find any pawn shops, and no SMS/Sega games. Where were they hidden? Are used game systems common, rare, or super rare in Korea? Thanks. |

To Maxim : "Hello" in Korean

Usually Koreans say "안녕하세요(Annyeonghaseyo)" when we say "Hello" to someone. "여보세요(Yeoboseyo)" is a "Hello" in recieving telephone calls(like Japanese "Moshimoshi"). |

If you can't subscribe to the forum because of the french, send a mail to my brother with your nick and password (max link ^^) He will create an account for you. And for the board itself, you can post in english. But I think we will have to work on an english version of the forum. |

Blame Google :) My brain can only handle one far-eastern language at once... |

It's quite difficult for a foreigner to buy some old Sega stuffs in Korea only by him/herself. Mostly old games are in Yongsan, a biggest electronic market in Korea. But it is very difficult to find for the person that first going there, so you may need some Korean friends who knows well of Yongsan. Remember, sellers in Yongsan are sly guys. They often cheat the price to customers. Or maybe you can browse through some toy shops or game shops in small cities and countrysides, and it is difficult also. Maybe when you come to Korea, I can help some. And I think Master System games are rare in Korea. Rare than Mega Drive...(MD's quite popular) |
