Puzlow Kids - GG

Thought I'd share this: http://gaminghell.co.uk/PuzlowKids.html
I'm sure it's common(ish) knowledge that if you slot Puyo Puyo into a US/Euro GG then it appears as Puzlow Kids, complete with a full translation, but it's a nice article. |

Actually, the site has a few interesting pages on Sega 8-bit games...

Hello, I'm the dude who wrote all of those things. Glad to see it's of interest.
While I'm here, might as well ask for a little info that'll help improve the article. Puzlow Kids caught the attention of ROMHacking.net (go to their message board, it's in Gaming Discussion in its own thread- I can't link to it because I'm new) and the first post mentions that GameFAQs' listed release date for Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine on the Game Gear might be wrong- does anyone know exactly when that game came out in Europe and the US? Just the month will do, so I can see where it fits in with Puzlow Kids. I figured if anyone on the internet knows,. it'd be here. Thanks! |

While I don't have my collection box here in front of me as I'm at work I believe it was November of '93 here in the USA.

Excellent, thanks for that Braveheart69. I'll update the article with that info later. This makes a lot more sense than the February 1993 date given by GameFAQs.
Makes you wonder if there are any more Game Gear games like this- localised, but not released outside their country of origin. I know that none of the other Puyo games do it (which is a shame because having English instructions for the follow-up titles with Quest Mode would've been nice). |

There is another one, Ronald McDonald in Magical World. It also includes an English translation not viewable by Japan users.
