Gamegear button test suitable for Homebrew section?

Hi all,
I really like your efforts here! In order to easily configure and test retro raspberry pi setups (especially the input devices), I am interested in test roms for a number of systems. For the Sega Gamegear, I was not able to find something suitable for me. Therefore I wrote a homebrew program on my own for that. And I found your site very helpful. Thanks!! I asked myself whether my little program is suitable for the hombrew section. It simply display a gamegear device as an image and checkboxes for all buttons. It indicates pressed buttons in the image and checks the boxes as well. screenshot attached. I tested it on several emulators and a real device as well. Greetings from Hamburg, Stefan |

Yes, why not. Can you provide unscaled and unbordered screenshots? | |

Hi Maxim!
Thanks for the quick reply (and even more for your tutorial)! No border is no problem. No scaling not that easy with the emulators I use (skill problem I assume). Find attached a second try. Am I able to add the files (binary rom, sources, link to GitHub perhaps ...) to the homebrew section on my own? If not: What is the easiest way to provide them? Thanks in advance, Stefan |

Your emulators are a bit annoying :) they all have the image at 100% scale before enlargement. The screenshot should be 160x144 pixels...
It's best to post here and we'll update when the page is made. A link to github can go in the page too. |

SMS Plus did the trick. I will provide the remaining files later on ... |

The page is here:
http://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/GamegearButtonTest-GG I guess you may want to choose a different name or version number... |

Great!
Attached a file which includes the *.gg file, the sources and a README-file. The content corresponds to the v0.3.0 tag in GitHub, therefore a version number of 0.3.0 would be nice if possible. If not, 0.30 The GitHub project is located here by the way ... https://github.com/GameGearSamples/ButtonTest Thanks in advance. Nice to give at least little bit back! |
