Where can I find the SEGA startup sound in VGM format?

Hello all.
First time user, long time Sega fan. I am currently building an Arduino based portable VGM player that plays from SD cards. It's coming along nicely (Sonic never sounded so good). It's based on the SN76489 for now but I may include a few other IC's as well. Anyway, I thought it would be awesome to replace the simple startup beep I have now with the "Sega" tone you hear when you power on your SMS/Genesis. Has anyone converted that to VGM format? Currently, my player only plays the VGM7z format you can download here (still learning the VGM format). I might also put some simple PWM output on my circuit as well and perhaps play the Sega sample that way. Anyway, thanks! Oh, I will post links, etc. when I get things a little more wrapped up. |

Not sure if you're interested into that, but the Sonic Triple Trouble VGM pack contains a Game Gear version of the Sega Voice.

Could you not use the VGM logging function in an emulator to get it?

If I were using an emulator. LOL Currently, I'm basically just sending data directly to the SN76489 from music I am downloading here.
I know very little about the whole VGM format. I don't have all of the commands mapped out apparently but I'm learning. |
