Mega Drive Master Converter pause mod

Hi!
I have a mega drive master converter 1. And I'm wondering if you there is any chance for doing the pause mod on a Master converter? Like this: smspower.org/smscartpad/pausebtn.htm
Fit the components inside the Master Converter. Is there any trace in the converter, when it's connected, that is linked to the joypad port 1? Then I could use the left and right pin for the pausemod, but will also need +5v, maybe there is some pount in the converter that has +5v?
Anyone done this?

+5V is there, the rest isn't.
