Korean dual-system MSX/SMS game roms

This peculiarity may be known by some people, at least in the MSX homebrew scene it's known by a few guys. But I don't think it's common knowledge, hence this post.
A number of later-era Zemina games are dual-system (maybe other companies too?). Without getting too much into technical details, this basically means that the game boots on Master System and MSX1. I don't know the exact mapperchip details, but on MSX it's controlled similar to Konami's "VRC" mapper: http://bifi.msxnet.org/msxnet/tech/megaroms.html#konami At the moment, the list of known games is small: Cyborg Z, Wonsiin, Superboy 3, Street Master |

Does the physical cartridge work in both systems? |

No, they don't have the same pinout but it would be possible to build an adapter in theory. | |

I was trying to think why they would go through the trouble of making code that runs on both systems, considering it would be trivial to share all of the code, minus the header and stuff. The only reason I can think of is being able to buy a larger quantity of the same masked rom. It could be used to build a Xonox style double ended cartridge. |
