Hey guys!!!
Thanks and enjoy this new Sonic Triple Trouble conversion, I had a lot of fun creating this conversion. And why not the last conversion made by Revo from Off The Wall It's nice to read that you thank us for our work, and for all the effort to turn the majority of exclusive games that Sega created for Game Gear once abandoned the development of new Master System games. It's a didactic hobbie, let's make it fun ;) |

Off the Wall [Proto] v0.42
- ''for play on the sega game gear'' line deleted from title screen. - background is always black now (no more garbage screen). After playing the game a little, I don't think that I'm gonna adapt any color manually, the playground is little strange for me, but it's actually the same feeling on the GG version. If someone want to adapt start button somewhere else, he's more than welcome to do it. |

I think they messed the GG version of Off The Wall. If they had removed 1 tile from the board they could have make the blocks 6x6 pixels and removed the UI. I presume it's barely playable on a real GG as it stands. | |

I implemented a new function working for games can use Megadrive Pad or Master System Pads if "START" is frequently used, for example RPG games and if rom is not full For default game is running with megadrive pad, then if you want to play with master system pad, then push master system Pause Button, then it switch MS Pads Example: Megadrive PAD Plugged 0.- Init game 1.- Play game normally, START will be START Button Master System PADS Plugged 0.- Init game 1.- Press PAUSE Button 2.- Play normally, START will be 2nd Player "Down" (3).- If you press PAUSE you switch to Megadrive PAD (4).- If you press PAUSE you switch to Master System PADS (5).- ... |

Megami Tensei Gaiden - Last Bible Special V0.6 GG2SMS - Megadrive or Master System Pads switching with PAUSE Button, START is MD START button or MS 2nd Player "Down" (Default: MD Pad) - Full palette conversion - Removed GG ports - Translation Credits to MrRichard999, SSTranslations (Steven Seehorn), Tom, Helly, Hengki Kusuma Adi, rainponcho - Game funny playable, remember SRAM needed to store data - Patch Japanese Rom - Corrected Checksum Known "bugs" - For now intro music is running fast, if possible set console to 50Hz Conversion by BcnAbel76 |

Seems I had confused it with the original Last Bible.
(the one ported from Game Boy, officially known as Revelations: The Demon Slayer. Though it sounds like Tom might be interested in doing that one too at some point, with a fresh translation as supposedly the official one was very bad.) |

Thats awesome.
But why does not more games use the Mega Drive Joypad ? Like for example, Tails Adventure. I cant finish the game because it dosent support the Mega Drive Start button . A real shame in my oppinion. Please, dont forget us Sega Mega Drive users. (especially with an everdrive X3 that has NO SMS pause button ) Please support the Start button on the MD Joypad. |

Hello Maxim, detection is not possible, it returns same state $FF if pad is plugged or unplugged, master system or megadrive pad pushing any button always return $FF
But great news, I've got an idea !!! Simply and easy. Boot game or reset console with Megadrive Pad "START" button pressed if you want play with Megadrive PAD, if not then Master System Pad I wrote code and yeah! It is working with Tails Adventures ;) |

You could read in Mega Drive mode but discard the second version of the data until it is different from the first, which confirms a Mega Drive pad is present. Radical Rat detects the pad, maybe in a different way: http://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/RadicalRatSMS-SMS maybe you can find out how that works. | |

Actually you can check if the connected pad is a SMS pad or a MegaDrive pad, and even if it's a 3 or 6 button pad.
See http://segaretro.org/Six_Button_Control_Pad_(Mega_Drive) (note - it isn't perfectly correct!) - the point anyway is to set TH 'high', read the pad, set TH 'low', read again. Now, if 'right' and 'left' are pressed at the same time (impossible on a SMS pad) then it's a MD pad and you can read the state of 'A' and 'Start' button. See this demo I made a while ago. |

Woh! I'll try it this night.
When I set TH high sometimes it is returning $D3, I saw then LEFT-RIGHT pushed, but not all times. If set TH high, read, set TH low, read and it is different $FF then yeah!!!! It would be very easy to implement to patch. Thankyou sverx and Maxim |

I tested MM on my Nomad and it works. It's pretty hard to play due to sprite border issues, but I imagine those are an inevitable part of the SMS conversion. | |

A comment about MD pads detection.
MD pad returns 00 in Right and Left bits when TH line is 0. To detect 6 button pad you'll have to do few more TH cycles and it'll put zeros into some other bits : TH=1 x1CBRLDU
TH=0 x0SA00DU <- 3 button pad detected TH=1 x1CBRLDU TH=0 x0SA00DU TH=1 x1CBRLDU TH=0 x0SA0000 <- 6 button pad detected TH=1 x1CBMXYZ TH=0 x0SA1111 TH=1 x1CBxxxx <- undefined, this cycle is needed to end 6 button access or the pad won't return more 6button values next time. 6 button values can only be read once per frame. |

You get master system resolution with a game with game gear resolution ;) Revo, I tested 0.53 and 0.55 and title screen colors does not differ, I don't change any palette cicle in this update, I only implemented autodetection TmEE thanks for info, I tested MD 6 button pad in Emulicious and it is working ok, we only need "START" button |

Ummmm, I download my patch V0.55 and apply to orginal GG rom and I get this Title Screen in V0.53 and V0.55

Hey guys, I am new here to this website and need some help with a Master System port posted here. I can't seem to get the Tails' Skypatrol Master System port to start when at the title screen. I can skip the intro sequence, but can't actually start the game. I tried pressing the 1 and 2 buttons as well as the down on the second controller that I mapped in Kega Fusion like the person said in the quote above, but the game still doesn't take me to the Training Area Zone. Can someone help me please? Thanks! :-) |

Do you try to run game in Emulicious??? Try to check "checksum" your rom for determinate if it was well patched chrisw80: Basically you need to load/save SRAM manually, I don't know about OS version in MegaEverdrive is doing it manually |

I just signed up to this forum to say thank you to everyone for the work on these patches. I've been looking for a good way to play gg games on a tv for a while, and just picked up a mega everdrive with testing these conversions out as one of the main reasons for doing so.
I'm particularly interested in the RPGs for the system (Sylvan Tale, Moldorian, etc) and would be more than happy to provide a J>E translation to go with a fully playable SMS conversion for any of them. (I actually translate stuff for a living.) So anyone who has the necessary skill and is interested feel free to get in touch! Thanks again! |

I think those translation patches are only editing text in rom. Other translation patches from Japanese to English for example are editing tiles and maybe need a bit coding added in rom, then if you double patch may crash game if patches are writting same area In this case, it is "simple" translation you may double patch game and game is funny working. Remember ROM Header byte at $7FF0 then doesn't match with checksum error, you must to recalculate it with your double patched game ;) |

Yes Revo, I did it for most important 2Players GG games, but really hard to do it, for now only Streets of Rage Series ;)

I didn't name Fatal Fury because it's obvious^^ Too bad there is no 2 players mode for Samurai Spirits.
Nice but it's creating safe zones where enemies won't attack you :/ edit: Thanks for SoR2, your version should be superior than 0.69^^ Also, can you create 2 versions for both games (Street of Rage title/ Bare Knuckle title) ? |

Hi Revo, thankyou, and I don't know why Samurai Spirits is only 1P game, it is based in Fatal Fury coding...
EDITED: For safe areas, I tested and some enemies are going to your location but do not attack you, and others yes, maybe fixed in next upgrade EDITED: Bare Knuckle 2 title is showed if you press START Streets of Rage 2 title is showed when demo is over |
