VGM to MIDI. Help!

Whenever I convert the .vgm file to .mid, it changes the sound of it to a different key. I want them as midis, but I want the sound intact, can anyone help?

I know this was a problem in gym2mid and early versions of vgm2mid, but I AFAIK fixed it a long time ago. You should try the latest version (v0.5) if you haven't already.
Also, which program are you using to listen to the .MIDs? Most media players (e.g., Windows Media Player, Winamp) seem to have no trouble with them, but some sequencers (Cakewalk for example) don't like the files, and don't always play them properly.
