Building a 512k dev cart from a 128k (with ram -> penguin)
Post Posted: Tue Jan 15, 2002 5:05 am
I'm trying to build a 512k dev cart from penguin land , a 128k cart... And i have the same pinouts as monopoly .. (earlier post) .. I rewired all extra adress lines to their respective pin on the paging chip , connected the 27040's OE to CrtOE , CE is connected to CE OUT of paging chip . I also set the pin 25 and 27 to ground , and 26 28 unconnected .. (used by 4mb games??) I burned phantasy star on the 27040. Do i need to connect adress 17 and 18 to anywhere on the other chip .. (mapper ?) and is a pinout of this chip somewhere? Anyone knows what i'm doind wrong , and has someone succefully modified a 128k with ram to fit a 512k with ram ? Does phantasy star use a bigger ram chip ? doubt it ... If someone could look at their phantasy star cart and tell me if a17 a18 are connected to anything else then the paging chip ?

eh , guess that's enough
