Can I make it like this ( http://www.smspower.org/maxim ), or do you have to be an admin for that? |

Personal site hosting is a feature for well known community members who have significant contributions to the 8-bit world to share.

Like anything that seems relevant, once it gets beyond what you can sensibly do in, or via, the forums.
These days, there's a lot of options out there, so we don't tend to get a lot of requests. GitHub works well for a lot of people, others sort out their own hosting. Most of what we have is legacy, including mine. In future, we'd rather capture useful things within the main site and make them shared-ownership, so they can live a longer life. For example, we added a Hacks section, partly for GG to SMS patches, and homebrew authors can host things from our Homebrew section. This imposes certain restrictions (you have to stay on-topic, it's not personal web hosting; others may edit your stuff) but in general, if it's interesting and useful, we want to have more than just one person's personal slice of it anyway. |

Ok, then. I'll just use this page as a little discussion for my page or something.
