Wonderboy In Monsterland (Orchestral Version)

gregglesaurus wrote
This is an orchestral arrangement of the Round 1 theme from Wonderboy in Monsterland (SMS/GG versions), including Boss music and the Round Clear music. Created in GarageBand and Logic Pro. I hope you like it. :)

I can't download this file. When I click on the download link it goes to a page that says I'm "not authorized".

Oops, sorry guys :) It turns out this one's a little bit big for the normal upload mechanism and I didn't have time this morning to double-check everything. It works now.

This entry was really carefully crafted. Several others were too, but this is like a little story going on =)

Congratulations!

Hell yes! This is awesome. I am actually quite surprised at how good the samples sound and they don't sound 'fake'. This is one cool entry. I bet Furanku would be shaking in his space boots right now :D

I totally agree. It would be very nice to know which brand of VST was used to replicate the orchestra.
I really enjoyed this rendition! There's a strong melodic change in the first part of the piece, and I think it really works great since it saves the virtual orchestra from going "squeaky". Problem is that now I'm dreaming a full 3D Monster World Adventure à la Ocarina of Time, with epic soundtrack and dazzling sunsets on Baraboro... *sigh*

It sure pooz all over what I was considering entering if it wasn't for the sound quality.

The orchestral nature is great, especially as it builds up so enjoyably, before you know it there's a whole bunch of instruments involved. It reminds me a lot of Super Mario Galaxy which means it's actually very awesome.

The orchestrated SFX are a bit odd, while they serve to transition in some places, in others it's a bit further into the realm of weirdness, especially with the other parts left "original". While orchestral music is nice and loud square wave SFX are great, the combination is a little uncomfortable. But the overall awesomeness makes this a top entry for me.
