Happy 13rd birthday SMS Power!

As stated wisely: After about 10 years of procrastination, followed by 3 months of work in our free time, we have finally got something to show you..

The site infrastructure has been completely reworked. We now sit over a customized Wiki software on which we started adding contents. Wiki allows us to lower the entry barrier and increase speed of iterations. It is enabling us to embrace the community and build the Sega 8-bit site of our dreams with everybody willing to participate.

If you check the links on the upper-right corner of the page, we added new things here. Games is the most important and is a hub to all the games and their contents. This is the starting point for the web-museum envisionned by the SMS Power! project. Content-wise it is very simple right now, but planned improvements are countless.

You can contribute to this project!
Please check out the website forums to follow our activity and get started with contributing. We need screenshots, logos and sprites extracted, boxes and manuals scanned, box texts typed in, music and maps extracted, credits information digged, people and companies listed, new cheat codes researched, etc. Let's make this the definitive and time-proof resource in Sega 8-bit beauty and knowledge. Lots of fun awaits!

Programmers and hacking enthusiasts - good work also has been put on the new Development section deriving from early Wiki works, and namely a Homebrew section cataloguing everything that has been created for Sega 8-bit systems. We haven't got Hardware or more general sections yet but they should eventually get shaped up.

Behind Games lies variety of individual contents that we are still in the process of structuring. Have fun browsing and feel free to express your feedback and ideas to improve the site. Lots of small things are broken or missing right now, so don't hesitate to report. By all means, we want to steer away from having a "cold-database-feeling". It means pouring lots of love over it.

This new site has been made possible thanks to the great work and dedication of Maxim - who achieved most of it with his bare hands.
