I think it's a bit harder to develop flash based copiers for the home hobbyist. Not that SRAM carts are exactly easy to write up...
I think Tototek was working on something like that, maybe adapting GB flash cards for use with the SMS. I think they (er, he) lost interest or got distracted or just hit a wall though.
