Everyone wins a prize! Probably a T-shirt or something similar, let's organise that here: http://smspower.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11972 |

Oh Tom, please don't take it like that. I enjoyed your entry quite a lot! Congratulations to all involved in the competitions, each year the quality of the entries keeps going up which is always good to see.
Now lets have fun designing stickers and shirts! |

Tom I liked your entry very much, I think I gave it an 8.
How come we have hundred thousands votes when the poll counted only a dozen ? |

I think the key word is "approximately".

That's 2^19... I noticed Maxim always used powers of two when announcing results.
Also I demand a recount since "ono" didn't win the coding contest. It should have won with an average of 9/9 |

I'm sure nobody would have noticed if I did that :) It did gain a lot in the last few days, but I'm happy enough with the result as it is.

How about a sprite contest next year.

*geez* sorry to steal this with a rehash. Hope you liked the game. :)
I want to make an update with the actual life counter and 3 kuntinues as this is how I meant the game to be played (HARD) but I suspect few people would be patient enough to become too skilled at it.. I demand a recount on why King Kong is not higher! On music I voted Drivin' Down to Skull Land highest because it is good and mainly I was happy to hear a song that was never covered. Those tunes are good, but I felt that the Sonic/Space Harrier/Out Run combo was heard quite a lot already. |

I agree with you there Bock :), I had considered doing a Psycho Fox remix myself but couldn't find any ways to make it sound groovy baby! but yeah Life's mix was certainly cool. And the number of votes, I think that the 500 and gazzillion whatever it was is the same amount of approximate votes we had last year :P When we did the shirts a couple of years ago I took that number as a real indicator lololol mum was quite amazed hahaha |

It was going to be third (it was for a long time and I have seen the votes when browsing without login), but then someone misteriously voted with 2 and I became fourth. I am happy with the result. The experience gained will help me for the next coding projects for the SMS, and it was really a nice learning race for me, considering the deadline was coming faster than I hoped. Regards |

It is of course worth noting the spread of votes for each entry. I chose not to be too complicated to try to discard unusual votes (after all, we are entitled to have different opinions). Maybe next year we should go back to the old voting script, if the guy who wrote it becomes available :)

Some very strong entries this year, on both music and coding comps.
The best song won, imho. And i couldn't be happier with the second place. I put a lot of effort into this song, specially since it's a tune that is so important to me. About being over covered, i chose this song, because i haven't heard another Space Harrier, non-techno remix. Maybe i am looking in the wrong place, however, hehe. Anyway, just posting to congratulate everyone, this year was really fun. |

Hi all!
Sorry for being so terribly late in replying. Anyway -- thanks everybody for the great competition! When I get the time I will update my song slightly, and it will be available on my site together with my other music at http://lidbjork.homelinux.org. This coming week I will also release my new album, so check in if you're interested. See ya all soon! |
