This maintains exactly the same feeling as the original - I can't help thinking these instruments are what Jeroen Tel had in mind when he wrote it.

This is a nice surprise. I'm a big fan of Jeroen Tel but I was completely unaware of this soundtrack. Now I'm going to have to find a copy of the game. You can tell from the original song that Tel comes from a C64 background and that comes through nicely in this cover as well. I agree with Maxim, I can totally imagine that this is what the original song would have sounded like, had it been composed for some more capable hardware. The instruments are great and the arrangement is quite professional. My only complaint is that it somewhat lacks variation. It just loops once and then ends abruptly. I would have loved to hear more. Very good stuff!

This is nice. The sounds are good, and so is the arrange overall. I would have changed the back synth to something more 80's powerpop and a little less vgm-ish. (like something from Toto or Journey, but it is a stylistic choice). But this is not bad. Arrange wise it is a bit repeative, and the end is rather abrupt. But a short, good track, with a great mood, is what we have here.

I agree, but I can't help but think that this might have been so much more powerful with a real bass.

A compliment on the choice of the source material and the drums. The overall mix sounds great too.
