I think I've finally done it...

I've been plagued by strange trimming errors for the last few days; it seems the FM state writing has to NOT re-write the sustain bit :/ Anyway, for those to whom that means nothing, here's something more interesting...

Download the plugin here:

http://smspower.mwos.cjb.net/in_vgm.zip

and install it (if you don't know how, don't try. The no-brainer self-installing file will come when I officially release this). Then just click on this link...

http://smspower.mwos.cjb.net/test.m3u

and....

ENJOY!!!

:)

Also...

- the plugin is not final, I want to try and get intelligent engine disabling in there (for all those Dega VGMs which cause it to run the FM emulation silently). Also, when (if?) I get YM2612 and YM2151 support in there I really need it to only run the one(s) used since all 3 will need way too much CPU.
- I added a "chip removal" function to VGMTool, it strips out data for whichever chip you like. So that can fix those VGMs if I need it to.
- I might make it automatic... since if a chip is not used, there should be few (<100) writes to it in the whole file.

Hey, I've done quite a lot from Bock's tools request post :)
