Gmail spam tagging of post notifications
Post Posted: Sat Mar 29, 2008 6:59 pm
Hi all,

In the last weeks, I hadn´t any notification on my gmail account from new posts on selected topics in this forum.

Even PM weren´t notified to me.

I found out that everything was directed to gmail spam folder.

I tagged everything as not being spam right now. Don´t know if this is sufficient to make that behavior stop.

Perhaps you admins could clarify this subject or take appropriate action.

Thanks.

There's not much we can do - it's up to GMail's spam filters. They might be noticing a lot of emails coming from phpBB forums that all look pretty much the same and thinking it's spam, or it might be some people tagging them as spam that's tipping the balance.

I think that if you set up a filter for the notifications, it helps them get past the spam filter, but I haven't tried it (I don't use them).

Well, flagging the messages that were in the spam box as not being spam seemed to teach da spam guard a lesson ! haha.

Now I got notifications back in my inbox again.

Thanks Maxim.
