It's a composite/mono audio connector. My digital still camera had a similar socket for video output; you can use an RCA-jack-to-stereo-minijack cable to attach it to a VCR.

I want to make an A/V cable for this tuner - does anyone have information which mini-jack contact is responsible for audio and which for video? Is GND in the same place as a typical audio-stereo mini-jack? And the video signal uses one of the L/R audio contact? | |

Cool to see interest in the ol TV tuner. I grew up with one :) 90s A/V is usually tip = video, ring = mono audio, sleeve = GND. Its a stereo 3.5mm jack. However, lucky us, the community raised money to dump the service manual years ago: https://www.smspower.org/Development/GameGearTVTunerPALServiceManual See page 2. Confirms the above spec. -Segasonicfan |
