Matt Furniss vs. Krisalis software
Post Posted: Sat Oct 29, 2005 2:10 am
There seems to be a strange correlation between music credits given to Krisalis software on one hand, and music known to be made by Matt Furniss on the other hand. But exactly what was the relationship?
Let's see what we have at hand:

1. Music only attributed to Matt, not Krisalis:
Alien 3
Sound: MATT FURNISS
Daffy Duck in Hollywood
FATT MURNISS
Dragon - The Bruce Lee story
Sound: MATT FURNISS
Hook
Music: MATT FURNISS
The incredible Hulk
Music: MATT FURNISS
Mortal kombat 2
Music: MATT FURNISS
Prince of Persia
Music: MATT FURNISS
Robocop 3
Music: MATT FURNISS
Sound: MATT FURNISS
Sound program: SHAUHN H0LLINGW0RTH
Trivial pursuit
Music: MATT FURNISS

2. Games directly attributed to Matt and Krisalis.
Back to the future III
Marvellous Matt Furniss for Krisalis Software Ltd.
Chuck Rock
KRISALIS SOFTWARE LTD
(Matt Furniss is mentioned elsewhere in the credits)
Lion king
krisalis, matt furniss
Smash T.V.
Music: Matt Furniss
Audio: Krisalis
Terminator
Music: MATT FURNISS
Audio: KRISALIS SOFTWARE
Wolfchild
MATT OF KRISALIS SOFTWARE

3. Games which Matt has claimed to have made music for, but only attributed to Krisalis:
Cool spot
KRISALIS
The incredible crash dummies
KRISALIS
Mick & Mack - Global gladiators
KRISALIS
Predator 2
KRISALIS SOFTWARE
Sega chess
KRISALIS SOFTWARE
Zool
KRISALIS SOFTWAR

4. Games which I lack sound credits for, but which Matt has claimed to have done music for:
Bartman meets Radioactive man (GG)
It is made by Teeny weeny games, with which Matt has worked before, on Crash dummies.
Home alone
Lemmings
Marble madness
Mortal kombat 1
This one is instead attributed to Allister Brimble in the credits. A stupid leftover from the Amiga version?
Outrun Europa
WWF Wrestlemania
This one is also by Teeny weeny games.

4. Games credited to Krisalis, and which haven't been mentioned as made by Matt:
Battlemaniacs
krisalis
Chuck Rock 2: Son of Chuck
CONVERTED BY KRISALIS SOFTWARE
Road rash
KRISALIS

Matt Furniss (me) worked at Krisalis Software from 1989 to 1993. I created all the music and sound effects. Shaun Hollingworth (Director and Programmer at Krisalis) coded the Sega audio drivers.

So anything credited to Krisalis, should be credited as:

Matt Furniss - Music / Sound Effects
Shaun Hollingworth - Audio Driver

Hope this clears up the confusion! :)

Yes, I loved your music from "Space Harrier II" on the C=64. It's the best version of the SHII song.

Listen to Matt's conversions of Scramble Spirits on the Amiga and C64. Certainly beats Sega's efforts.
