VGM format v1.50; in_vgm v0.33
Post Posted: Sun Nov 20, 2005 2:27 pm
OK, here we go.

Some clever guys figured out an easy way to make Mega Drive VGMs get much smaller, so the VGM format is now at 1.50. Old players are likely to fail to play these files (but non-Mega Drive files will generally be fine).

I've updated my Winamp plugin, in_vgm. Download in_vgm 0.33 here.

Please be careful - VGMTool has *not* been updated and is likely to do bad things to a 1.50 file. It also does not include the "PCM optimiser" function (yet). Please get in contact with the Project 2612 guys to get hold of that tool, and again, be careful to use it as the last step and save the unoptimised files.

Turn Winamp back on and...

ENJOY!!!

Bug with unlooped track pause

The pause after unlooped tracks feature seems to be broken in v0.33.

Yeah, I noticed it went into new tracks immediately.

Been meaning to tell you since yesterday, but you weren't on at all. :/

in_vgm.txt - Spelling Mistakes!!! [in_vgm v0.33]
Post Posted: Sat Nov 26, 2005 7:17 am
Hello Maxim I was just reading through the text file that accompanies in_vgm 0.33 and I have found some spelling mistakes

in_vgm.txt wrote
PSG tab:

- Channel control
If the current track includes PSG data, the checkbozes will allow you
to enable and disable indivisual sound channels.
The trackbars allow you to apply "fake" stereo to the channels. This
can result in a more pleasing sound but is totally inaccurate :) The
original chip was strictly mono.
That is, apart from the Game Gear's extended version which allows
"digital" stereo (where the sound is either 100% left, centre or 100%
right). If the track includes such data then the "fake" stereo fr the
affected channel is overridden.
Press the "Centre all" button to reset all channels to a centre
position.

In particular you have spelt checkboxes as checkbozes (you weren't drinking were you?)

And also in the sentence of If the track includes such data then the "fake" stereo fr the
affected channel is overridden.

you have fr instead of for

Thanks,

Jacko

Wow, that's 49 versions later than the one published in the wiki. I think I've asked once before but where do I find the most recent spec?
