I thought I could end the month with some new releases. Today I have 3 alternate dumps from my maniacally gathered Brasilian cartridges. They are all games released in Europe, but for some reason, the Brasilian cartridges seems to contains earlier version of the games (this is fairly rarely the case).

The games are:
Chuck Rock II - Son of Chuck for the Master System
Rainbow Islands for the Master System
Winter Olympics for the Master System

Spotting the exact difference between those and European builds may be not obvious. In the first two games, if you compare you'll notice how the title screen was later changed to make "SEGA" appears or more obvious. Those dumps do not have the SEGA mentions.

My purely-guessed explanation is as following: those dumps are the original version that the developers submitted to Sega. Sega then modified them before their European release, to add the copyright/license stuff. When TecToy got hold of old Sega treasures in form of ROM image and/or source code (unknown), they were handed off the original version, before modification made. If only Tec Toy heard us, they could help! (or sue...)
