SC-3000 Printer emulation on Meka
Post Posted: Tue Sep 20, 2005 9:21 pm
Hi to all...
Some days ago i was playing around the possibility to share SC3000 programs with other users. I tryied to research on Internet some emulators of other home computers. I've found the CC64 which emulates the "umpleasant" C64. Its give the possibility to emulate printer functions by giving you a txt file as output.
Do you think it may be possible in meka dor the SC3000/SF7000 emulation??
thank you.
Greetings.
Francesco.

Yes I'd like to emulate the SP-400 Sega Printer someday.
The printer hold pens and can draw graphics, so the output would be picture files rather than .BMP. But it's an interesting task. Don't know when I'll be able to do that thought. I might go and try because I think it's an easier job than tape emulation.

I'm not really into Machine Language, but I also think that will be easier than decrypt tapes into programs listing and vice versa. I think it will be important to find out some way to fully emulate this Home Computer because in a certan way people are going back to old computers to have fun. Nowdays PC are everywhere and the new operative system are very unstable and difficult so it is better to leave them at work but having fun with vintage HC.
I've heard there are 2 companies that are going to make a partnership and starts do develop programs for old HC like C64, Spectrum and Amiga. The source of this news is the Italian "The Game Machine" Magazine.
If I can i will give you all my help in developing Meka...
Regards,
Francesco.
