SG1000/SMS/GG Ports
Post Posted: Wed Nov 10, 1999 10:41 pm
Does any one know if any current SG1000/SMS/GG software uses I/O ports 0xA0 through 0xAF? As far as I can tell, these ports are not defined in these machines.

Additionally, does any one know of any effects of writing to these ports (on the real systems or on any emulators)?

I'd like to define these ports as debug ports in my AGAMA machine specification (for my emulator MesaDX).

Thanks.

No they aren't used at my knowledge, even for SC-3000 stuff.

No idea on a real system.
I guess emulators will ignore write and return 0x00 or 0xFF on a read. (Meka return 0x00)

Go on.
(Although I still find that not so useful than a good debugger ;)
