gcc?

I know i might be stupid, but i think GCC could be used as a
host for cross-compiling z80 apps.
Although strange, i only noticed recently that someone ported
the necessary gnu toolset (binutils/gcc/newlib) for the Saturn
Architeture (used in the HP4* calculator toolset), which basic
model, 48G, has 32kb of ram, while the saturn stills a 4-bit
processor. The runtime libraries for it account for almost 5kb.
The benefits? Almost-full ansi compliance (language not libs),
Float support easier to add, and stuff like that. Portability,
and other cool stuff (it's gnu, so it opens a wide range of
possibilities.)
i'll check it out with hp48xgcc author to see if it's possible. stay tuned!
