Really good initiative. I'll pass the address for some
friends of mine who wants to port games from SMS to MSX.

Hmm.. is MSX2 hardware similar to the SMS ?
I only know about MSX1. Actually, porting games between MSX1, SG1000 and Colecovision shouldn't
be very hard. It could be even semi-automatized with a tool that change jump locations if necessary, and
a few other things. What do you think ?

No. The SMS hardware is more suited to games, and the
MSX-2 hardware is more suited to applications/demos.
(MSX-2 doesn't have a tile mode, only direct graphic screens).

It's not so easy because the memory layout is very
different in these systems. MSX has 64kb of RAM, Coleco and SG1000
have only 8kb. Porting Coleco to SG1000 is much easier, you just
need to write a new bios rom. Marcel de Kogel did that, he made
a new coleco bios allowing coleco games to run on a msx1 without
modification (a kind of coleco emulator for msx1).
