Someone in emulation gets the prototype and it looks like DreamTR got himself deleted from ebay! (if you look on the bidder history for it, his bid was an "Administrative Cancel" and he's now not a registered user. heh, maybe i'm just bitter after losing many many times to his bids, but it has a smile on my face =]

Anyway Zoop, are you going to have the BIOS dumped out of the system to use in emus? While it's probably not the most useful thing to have, it's kinda one of those novelty things most of us will never see. (or at least take a better screenshot or two =] )

Yes. we are gonna dump it's BIOS - and study it.
Hopefully there will be even piece of sources code embedded in the BIOS rom :)

speaking of bios dumps, are we going to see anymore?

i believe the are at least 2 different sms2 bios'es - i remember the blueish system started alex kidd (almost) immediatly after power on, but the more common black system shows a sega logo for 5 seconds or so before starting alex kidd

the master system i got,which i bought in 86 shows neither.
it displays a message that no card/modul is insert,or inserted incorrect. (that's the one with the cool labyrinth-game built-in)
the ones with a built-in alex kidd were released later

hey guys,
i think you forgot that there was a one with hangon it it and another with both hangon and safari hunt ; and in both case the labyrinth

Yup, there was a few different SMS's over the years released in USA alone... and I'm sure the rest of the world too...

i was specificly talking about the sms2's, by the way ;)

i wonder if those brazilian sms 3's (or what ever they call em) have anything intresting in the way of a bios?

SMS3 here in Brazil come with Sonic 1 in the memory.

huh?
wasn't there a sms2 with sonic in memory too?
that was what they've sold here last I think...

Yes...there were sms2 with alex kidd, and the later the sms2 with Sonic1.
Now we have sms3 with sonic1 in memory plus a 20-in-1 cart :)

how big is that? or are those only 32 and 64k games?
