Does anyone know the 3 letter code to turn the game to it's 2-D mode?...I remember owning this game a long time ago and I used the code to play it, but I totally forgot it. Thanks.

Play the game in 3-D until you reach the first boss.
Let him kill you. If you obtained a high enough score, you'll get an initials input screen after the Game Over message. With the 2nd controller, and holding button #1, enter T-H-R-E-E. Note that the word will not be displayed on the screen.
