MSII CHIP 4029 HELP
Post Posted: Thu Mar 21, 2024 6:42 pm
Good afternoon and greetings to all the forum members.

I have a problem on the Master System II when following a retrohobby.es tutorial where the pause button on the console is used to also change from 50 to 60 Hz.
(It says “MOD 50/60Hz WITH THE MS2 PAUSE BUTTON”)

I have followed the tutorial to the letter and the yes button changes the hertz but not the pause button.

(Basically Chip4029 connected to the leg of the region chip and in turn to the pause button with a track cut behind said button and spliced again with a 1K resistor plus a 220uf capacitor bridging the next resistor R9)

I put photo of what I did in the hope that some kind forum member with knowledge in electronics can help me?

Thank you very much in advance guys.

Do you mean it changes hertz but didn't let you pause the console? If so check your wire going back from mod to the switch

I just changed the capacitor and everything works fine, thanks for the help.
Likewise, if I wanted to install a three-legged bicolor LED, would you know where I have to make the connections?
Thank you and greetings people..
