New 256b intro
Post Posted: Sun Feb 11, 2024 10:16 pm
After coding demos for the ZX Spectrum and other Z80 platforms for some years I finally decided to give the SMS a go after buying an SMS last year as I think the Master System is an underappreciated platform in the demoscene.

My first demo is a 256 byte intro for the Lovebyte 2024 online demoparty that was held this weekend. It has been tested on SMS1 and MD.

Download from here: https://darkside.no/sms/darklite-rise_and_sine.zip or just use the attached file.

Video capture from real hardware can be seen here:

Since this is my first post here I would like to thank all of you for the massive amount of information this site provides, both the documents and in the forum posts.

That’s amazing, thanks for posting it. Is there any chance you could post source too? I can’t imagine how you’re doing all that in 256B. I guess it might not be a simple disassembly despite the length…

It is lovely, but I didn't get it was PAL only at first and I got a bunch of corruption on screen.
Switching to 50 Hz made it work correctly :)

edit: oh, it was written in the text file I didn't read
