Tintin on The Moon (Unreleased)
Post Posted: Fri Mar 24, 2023 12:48 am
Howdy Master System superfans (I promise I will never say that again). With how we were able to get some lead on the Godfather prototype (though the search has died unfortunately) I want to start another search for a lost port of some DOS or Amiga game that was also set to come out around the same time period. Tintin on The Moon!

The Godfather was shown in that Danish video game show and that's how we know of it's existence, but there apparently is just nothing on this Tintin game except for one blurry screenshot from a magazine at the time. We don't even have a cover art for it (there's a fan made one somewhere out there).

What is there that we can do to initiate this search, other than just asking Twitter again?

Yes, it's the only material that we have to go by at the moment.

I can give you some small leads we had with Bock.

Producer was Angela Sutherland, Bock contacted her about the game (he can provide the conversation he had with her). It seems the game was complete and delivered to Virgin, but they were unable to secure the license.
Programmer was Paul Shirley, from Spindizzy fame. I found him on Linkedn but he didn't answered to my questions (He seems not to be a heavy Linkedn user).

I'm putting them as links because the parser of the img tag doesn't like the url format...

We want attachments anyway. It’d also help to identify the magazines and issues these are from. (We are behind on adding French magazines to the site.)

Thank you for these! Can someone identify the magazines that these come from though?

Just to state the obvious, one is Sega Pro (UK) April 1992. The rest are French but connoisseurs may be able to identify them from the styling of the pages.

Sorry @Maxim, I was writing and pasting from the phone, so I didn't thought about putting them as attachments. Thanks to the attachment fairy!

I'm wondering if a proto is sleeping in someone's Tintin collection who has no interest at all in videogame...
