Image problem in French Master System 2 RGB model
Post Posted: Fri Mar 17, 2023 4:37 pm
Hi all, recently i bought a french RGB master system 2 but has a problem in the image when power on, sound works perfect.

I tried with a different RVB cable and the problem persist, so the problem is in the console.

I do a little preasure in the video socket but nothing.

Any ideas? if i can't fix it i will back it to the seller.

I upload a photo to see the problem.

Thanks in advance

This looks like a sync issue; I know there is an issue with the sync signal provided by the RVB box that prevents it from working with the OSSC, perhaps this is the same issue?

I think there's a mod you can do to the RVB box's sync circuit that improves compatibility but I don't know the details, since it works by default with my Framemeister-based setup.

No, I checked the console with another RVB cable and the problem persist and check the cable with other console and the cable works perfect, so the problem is in the console

Have you tested this cable and console combination on a different television yet?

Some TVs don't work well with the Master System's sync output, so isolating the TV as the problem is worth a test.

No, but I have other french RGB master system and works well, for that reason I didn't test it

I see. I'd say test anyway, but that does lessen the likelihood.

can you open the console and check if there's continuity on the sync pin? there might be a cold join somewhere

Yes but I think the little ring of the pin was broken and if you see the photo you can see a little line. I attach a photo edited
