I was just wondering why it isn't possible to have a full screen when you are playing sega master system games
on an emulator.

it is possible.
if you use meka, edit the meka.cfg and find the line video_mode_fullscreen_double
and change the numbers to 512x384.

at the moment it seems this only pays off when using the eagle filter ( yuck ;), unless Zoop wants to put in a pixel doubler (with no filters applied to it).

from Brsms help feature (brsms -help) directly;

-res select screen resolution
0 = 320x200x8 (default, allows border emulation)
1 = 400x300x8 (large Game Gear screen)
2 = 512x384x8 (Master System or SG1000 with scanlines)
4 = 512x384x15 (bilinear filtering)
6 = 512x384x15 ("Parrot" engine)
8 = 512x384x15 ("2xSaI" engine)

again, the 512x384 options give you 'full screen' - excpet only with some sort of filter ;(

oh yeah, your machine may or may not like 512x384.

the other option is to wait and see if anyone wants to add a pixel x4 feature to pump the screen up to 1024x768 ;)

That really depends on your video card and drivers, you know..

and you conveniantly removed the line
"oh yeah, your machine may or may not like 512x384."

from my previous message.. i did have that in mind, btw :p
it was only a week or two ago i managed to get sdd to give me 512x384 with a decent refresh rate (something about 'double scan mode'?)

eor i suppose you could triple the image size, and stick it on a 800x600 screen, borders wont be too bad (but speed will be;)

please consider adding a doubled and non filtered full screen mode some day? ;)

That's not related. What I mean is that, depending on your screen, video card and drivers, each mode can use the whole screen area or only a smaller part of it.

Yes I'll think about that.
