I wasn't able to find a list like this anywhere in this forum, so I thought I would share it here in addition to adding the information in the RetroCopy SMS database: Mark III and SMS-games which support the SK-1100 keyboard. It seems all Mark III games from 1985 support it, as well as many games from 1986 and a few from 1987. Even a few games that was never released in Japan, like Choplifter and Ghostbusters, support it. The list is:

Action Fighter
Alex Kidd in Miracle World
Astro Flash/Transbot/Nuclear Creature
Astro Warrior/Sapo Xule: S.O.S. Lagoa Poluida
Astro Warrior/Pit Pot
The Circuit/World Grand Prix
Choplifter
Comical Machine Gun Joe
F-16 Fighting Falcon/F-16 Fighter
Fantasy Zone
Fushigi no Oshiro Pit Pot
Ghostbusters
Ghost House/Chapolim x Dracula - Um Duelo Assustador
Gokuaku Doumei Dump Matsumoto/Pro Wrestling
Great Baseball [JAP]
Great Tennis/Super Tennis
Great Soccer [JE]
Hang On -- (only Japanese version)
Hang On/Astro Warrior -- (only Astro Warrior)
Hokuto no Ken/Black Belt
Satelitte 7
Seishun Scandal/My Hero/Gang's Fighter
Space Harrier
Spy vs. Spy
Teddy Boy Blues/Teddy Boy

Am I missing any games? I don't think I am, but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

Is there a common detection routine you could search for (carefully avoiding absolute addresses, of course)? Some might only check on a Japanese system, for example, possibly mixed with an NTSC test, so it's tricky to be sure just from running the game.

This is exactly the sort of thing we can add a tag for in the site...

Hi-Com 3-in-1 Collection B (except for game selection)
Hi-Com 3-in-1 Collection C (except for game selection)
Hi-Com 3-in-1 Collection D (except for game selection)
Hi-Com 3-in-1 Collection E (except for game selection)
Hi-Com 3-in-1 Collection F (except for game selection)
Hi-Com 8-in-1 Collection A (except for game selection, Hyper Sports 2, Monkey Academy)
Hi-Com 8-in-1 Collection B (except for game selection, King's Valley, Magical Tree, Hang-On)
Hi-Com 8-in-1 Collection C (except for game selection, Athletic Land, Bomb Jack, Circus Charlie, Yie Ar Kung-Fu)
Loretta no Shouzou - Sherlock Holmes
Power Strike (Aleste when run on Mark III but it isn't the Japanese cartridge)
Super Game 11-in-1 (KR) (except for game selection, Super Wonderboy, Super Tetris, Super Boy I, Goonies, Road Fighter)
Ttoriui Moheom (Korean version of My Hero)

Rise from your grave !

Interesting list, just wondering if any games are actually better for using the keyboard ?

I understand F-16 used two controllers, so if using the keyboard are all controls on the keyboard ?

Also: do any games get added functionality with the keyboard that wasn't available via the control pad?

After reading the manual for that game, the answer to that is yes. It seems that F-16 is the only game that has added functionality with the SK-1100 as you can link together two Mark III+SK-1100 setups via the printer port for two-player play.
