ThunderForce, does this game exist?

I loved the ThunderForce series on the Sega Genesis. Parts 2, 3 and 4 kicked some major ass. However, I have always wondered what system ThunderForce part 1 came out on. Does anyone have some information on this game? I was told that it came out on the Sms, but I have never found/seen it.

I *think* It was an MSX Game, however, don't quote me on that....

I agree - my favorite shooter series as well. Wouldn't it be cool to find out that
Techosoft had some other games out there, from the past!!! Unfortunately, regarding Thunder
Force 1 - It was apparently not on the SMS, nor the MSX, but rather a japanese computer called
teh Sharp X-1 - released @ 1983 (way, way back!) That being the case, I am doubtful it shared many
of the cool features of the later games.

I DID find an alternate version of Thunder Force 2 for another Japanese system - the EX 68000 -
that is available on the net, but i haven't checked it out yet. See for yourself...
